Stop n Search offers a solution for sites with a need for random staff searches.
Searching all staff can be time consuming and disruptive, and whilst random searches do eliminate many of the problems, the frequency of such searches can result in allegations of discrimination and victimisation.

Stop n Search reduces such problems. The system can be used as staff enter or leave premises. The selection frequency is configured during installation, but can be changed to suit the site's needs. The selection frequency can be set as 2, 5, 10, 20, 30, 50, 70 or 90 percent. If a selection frequency of 30 percent is used, then 30 people in 100 are selected randomly.

The user cannot control the random selection, and there is no guessable pattern. Staff members simply press a button on the unit to see if they are selected for a search. Alternatively, a detector, card reader or keypad and be used to allow hands-free operation. The software generates a selection if the button is permanently pressed in order to deter users from trying to disable the system.

A 'no search' mode can be activated if no-one is available to conduct a search, although the system gives the impression that the random search regime is in use.

Two versions of Stop n Search are available; the battery operated TAG2 and the mains powered TAG3 as listed below. The TAG3 can be used to control an exit door and signal to remote equipment.

Similar to the TAG2 above in principle. Mains powered for comprehensive egress control using an external card reader, keypad or other triggering means if necessary. Electrical door retention and remote monitoring are catered for.
Selection can be signalled to a remote point if required.
The integral power supply will NOT power door retention magnets or electric door strikes. If desired the TAG3 can be powered from an external supply of 12 vdc.
